Posters Exploration
project overview
Saucony, Chacos, & Merrell Retro Grain Poster Exploration This personal spec project is an art direction and Photoshop exploration built from Saucony, Chaco and Merrel e-commerce website product photography and converted into a retro-inspired poster campaign. The goal was not to create an official campaign, but to show how standard product imagery can be transformed into a more expressive, atmospheric, and campaign-ready visual system. I developed a series of poster-style compositions that frame the shoe through vintage athletic advertising, editorial product treatment, and contemporary design taste. The work uses grain, reflection, soft motion, atmospheric gradients, and controlled color to give the imagery a worn-in but elevated campaign quality. The visual direction pulls from retro running culture while still feeling modern, polished, and commercially usable. Each poster was designed to push the shoe beyond a standard website product image and into a larger visual world. The compositions explore mood, texture, movement, and color while keeping the footwear clear, desirable, and central to the story. This project was made to showcase my range as a designer and art director: product editing, color direction, image treatment, composition, campaign thinking, and the ability to build a visual story around footwear using limited source assets.
